The EU-Turkey Statement of March 2016 and the consequences of its implementation for Greece have been extensively analysed over the past five years. Amid discussions about its extension, new research conducted by the Mercator Dialogue on Asylum and Migration (MEDAM) surveyed over 3,900 voters across Greece, Germany, and Turkey, to analyse voters’ preferences for EU-Turkey cooperation on migration. What types of policies generate public support for cooperative migration policies, and how do these vary across Greece, Germany, and Turkey? The discussion focused on the findings of the study and its implications for policy-making.

In cooperation with Mercator Dialogue on Asylum and Migration (MEDAM)
