In ELIAMEP Thesis 3/2011  Nikos Koutsiaras argues that the decisions of the July summit meeting of the eurozone member states have been considered, perhaps for the first time, by many experts, even with some reservations, as positive and effective towards the public debt crisis, and, probably reinforcing the economic, institutional and political cohesion and, therefore, the eurozone’s governance. Is that an accurate assessment? We will attempt a brief, but not randomly structured analysis.
