Bledar Feta attended Atlantic Council’s fifth 360/Open Summit held on June 6 and 7 in Brussels, where around 80 “Digital Sherlocks” from more than 40 countries discussed the role of technology in combating online disinformation and the ways for building a resilient information ecosystem.
Feta participated in the 360/Digital Sherlocks program, a quarterly series of online training, which teaches young professionals on how to monitor and protect the information environment in their respective regions.
In the context of the 360/Open Summit, Feta participated in innovative trainings on open-source methodologies, as well as in dedicated briefings with experts and policymakers covering a wide range of issues from countering foreign influence, to building resilient information environments, to the role of the Internet in online movements, and ensuring democratic approaches to a decentralized digital world.
From his part, Feta shared with his colleagues the findings from the empirical research he conducted in North Macedonia in the context of Horizon 2020 PAVE Project, which unmasks the ways that extremist and conspiratorial groups are using the web to disinform the public.
