On Thursday, 25 May, Dr. Panagiotis Barkas participated as a panellist at the Conference on “Finance Governance after the Crises: Challenges to EU, Latin America and the World“, which was organised by the Centre for Economic Policy, Governance and Development (EKOPDA) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Jean Monnet Network “Crisis-Equity-Democracy for Europe and Latin America”. Dr. Barkas addressed the audience in the panel session on “Financial Regulation and Governance in post-crises EU” (12:00 – 13:30)
His intervention focused on digital finance, regulation and policy (strictly personal views) with a selected panel of participants, consisting of Prof. Christos V. Gortsos (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), Prof. David Howarth (University of Luxembourg), Mr. Nikolaos Stavrianou (Bank of Greece) and Ms. Bettina Guilherme (Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, PUC-Rio). The Conference took place at the Impact Hub Athens (Karaiskaki 28, Athens 105 54).
