On Thursday 22 October 2020 Dr Ioannis N. Grigoriadis, Head of ELIAMEP’s Programme on Turkey, participated in an online public event hosted by the Hellenic Observatory, London School of Economics and Political Science on “Greece, Cyprus and the Crisis in the Eastern Mediterranean”. He presented the main points relating to why the Eastern Mediterranean has turned into a conflict zone, and the factors that have contributed to the escalation of Greek-Turkish disputes. Finally, Dr Grigoriadis discussed de-escalation and the role of the ICJ.
