Dr. Ioannis Armakolas, Assistant Professor at the Department of Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies, University of Macedonia and Head of the South-East Europe Programme – ELIAMEP, participated on the conference “Western Balkans at the crossroads: Assessing the influence of external actors”. The conference was co-organized by Prague Security Studies Institute and the Institute of International Relations under the auspices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, and in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry’s Department of Foreign Policy Analysis and Planning.

Dr. Armakolas spoke on the panel entitled “Implications for the role of international organisations in the Western Balkans”.

Jolyon Naegele (Former Head of Political Affairs Office at the UN Mission in Kosovo, Czech Republic)

Adnan Huskić (President of the Center for Election Studies; Sarajevo School of Science and Technology, Bosnia and Herzegovina)

The moderator was Tomáš Dopita (Institute of International Relations, Czech Republic).

The conference took place in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in Prague on the 26th of April 2019.
