Εvangelia Psychogiopoulou participated in the edited volume Copyright versus (other) fundamental rights in the digital age. A comparative analysis in search of a common constitutional ground (Edward Elgar Publishing, O. Pollicino, M. Bassini and G.M. Riccio, eds) with a chapter entitled ‘Cultural rights, cultural diversity and the EU’s copyright regime: The battlefield of exceptions and limitations to protected content’. The analysis examines the ways in which the EU regime of copyright protection, as shaped in the past two decades, has sought to accommodate, within the same legal framework, cultural objectives pertaining to both encouraging cultural creation and stimulating wider dissemination of cultural content. In doing so, the chapter explores how EU copyright rules contribute to cultural diversity and the realization of cultural rights.
