Loukas Tsoukalis, President of the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy gave the keynote address at the opening session of the 85th World Congress of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) which took place at the Megaro Athens International Conference Centre with the participation of around 3,500 delegates from 137 countries.

” Technology and entrepreneurship lead the way, but politics determines the context  and social forces set the limits” mentioned Dr. Loukas Tsoukalis during his keynote address titled:” Dialogue for Change and the Joint Management of Common Goods.”

Dr. Tsoukalis underlined also that: “We shall need continuous dialogue, careful diplomacy and a great deal of collective wisdom to manage the transition to an increasingly multipolar world, but hopefully also multilateral world order.”
