The Athens Summer School: Moving the EU forward was an intensive 7-day course. During 2015-2018, it was held in early July at the Department’s premises. In total, 99 Greek and foreign (EU and non-EU) graduate and post-graduate students participated. More than 11 lectures were delivered each year (33-36 teaching hours), providing comprehensive knowledge on the different aspects of economic crisis and the key challenges that Europe faces in the post-crisis era. A keynote speech was delivered by an outstanding personality in EU affairs, which stimulated student’s interest for the courses and set the main points for consideration. One month before the beginning of the courses, the participants received the Athens Summer School Handbook, which included lectures’ syllabi, literature for each thematic stream, CVs of the teaching staff and practical information about life in Athens.
