On Monday, 5 March at the University of Helsinki, Dr. Ruby Gropas, who participates in the ELIAMEP research team working at IME European project (Identities and Modernities in Europe), will participate in a Greek-Finnish debate on Europe, the EU and modernity as seen in the context of higher education.

What is this about?

– Debate on integration and disintegration in Greek and Finnish higher education policies

– Critical discussion on the Bologna process and alternative pathways for Europe. We shall focus on the Bologna process in Greece and on PISA results and higher education reforms in Finland.

During the afternoon, the outcomes of the project Identities and Modernities in Europe (IME) will be discussed. Involved in the project are nine member countries: Britain, Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, France, Germany and Turkey.

The event will take place at the University of Helsinki, Main Building auditorium III (Unioninkatu 34) on Monday, 5th March, from 15.00 to 18.00.
