Since May 2010, Greece follows  a difficult and considerably different path than in the past. Looking towards the future, the most crucial question is whether the country will succeed in taking advantage of the crisis, implementing the necessary changes, increasing its productivity and modernizing the foundations of the state and society.

Taking part in the debate regarding Greece’s “next day”, the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) organized a public discussion on:

The financial crisis in Greece: an opportunity for change

Speakers:

Kostis Chatzidakis, MP and former Minister

Petros Markaris, Writer

Alekos Papadopoulos, former Minister

Loukas Tsoukalis, President of ELIAMEP

Journalist Ilias Kanelis moderated the discussion.

The event took place on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at the amphitheatre of “Th. Karatzas”, National Bank of Greece.
