The Council of Europe in cooperation with the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) and the  Suedosteuropagesellschaft in Munich organised the 1st Alumni Meeting of the European Forum Cyprus (EFC) in Athens on 13-15 January 2011. The topic of the meeting was: “The Future of the European project”.

Every year, the European Forum Cyprus (EFC) provides a platform for 20 to 30 young Cypriot leaders, from all walks of life and from both main communities. While the Forum does not touch on the Cyprus Question, it discusses and analyses issues of vital interest for the future of the whole island within an integrating Europe and with regard to the surrounding region. The project is jointly financed by the European Commission and the Council of Europe, with the political support of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
