The special issue of Southeast European and Black Sea Studies entitled “Greece and Turkey in NATO” is published on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the entry of Greece and Turkey in NATO, in February 1952. Edited by Evanthis Hatzivassiliou and Dimitris Triantaphyllou and with contributions by F. S. Larrabee, S. Yilmaz, D. Chourchoulis, L. Kourkouvelas, S. Guvenc, S. Ozel, S. A. Acikmese and Th. Dokos, the issue assesses amongst others the security situation in the Eastern Mediterranean, examines the current relations between Greece and Turkey; Greece’s and Turkey’s policies in NATO and the role of NATO, the EU and Turkey in the question of Cyprus.
